GCT Youth League Updates
We are off to a great start for the 2010 GCT Youth League Season! We had a great turnout on Tuesday for our first game and the kids gave great effort and did a great job. There was great competiton and and alot of amazing plays from our youth league athletes. As we move forward there are a couple of areas that need to be addressed:
1) PARKING: The paving and resurfacing project for the entrance from the Jr. High to the elementary has been rescheduled for this Saturday, September 18th. Please arrive early to allow plenty of time for parking and getting your athlete to his game. This will probably be a "challenge". You will probably need to find a spot by the Sr. High, agri building, or bus garage.
2) SEATING: Please do not sit on the track or on the field. Please sit in the stands. I know that the 3rd and 4th grade parents had lawnchairs because their games were scheduled for the practice field on Tuesday night, however we have decided to have all night games on the main field. We do apologize for the confusion, however we wanted all 3rd/4th grade athletes to have equal opportunity of playing on the main field. The Saturday games will still take place on the practice field, so it will be ok to bring your lawn chair for those games. However, please stay behind the rope on the practice field for the Saturday games. If you are sitting on the track or field, then we are going to ask you to move to the stands. Parents please help us so that we do not have any distractions or conflicts in the future.
3) EQUIPMENT: Please let your coach know if your athlete has not received or is having problems with any of their equipment. With the exception of jerseys and a few medium helmets, most of our equipment that was ordered after late sign-ups has arrived.
Again, we are extremely excited about the 2010 season and are very proud to have your athletes participation! Our goal is for all athletes to learn more about the game of football and at the same time have a great time! We are blessed to have great volunteer coaches, so please thank them for their hardwork and effort when you get a chance. GO EAGLES AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF OUR YL TEAMS!!!

**Revised Game Schedule**
We elected to eliminate one of the 5th/6th grade teams and distribute their players due to lower numbers this year. For that reason, the schedule had to be revised and has been posted since 8/27. However, be sure to take another look at the schedule or if you printed it, be sure it says "revised 8/27/10" on top. ALL teams, even 3rd/4th teams, were affected by the revision.

Tomorrow's (9/11/10) YL Games
Tomorrow's 5th and 6th grade games will be played as scheduled, but on the band practice field. As a football program, we are working hard to keep the game field in as good a shape as possible. If you were unaware, new dirt and grass was installed this summer in the middle of the field and with the recent rains, we are going to avoid play on it this weekend.
